Strengthened by 20 years of experience in the ski industry, Movement positioned itself as an innovative brand with novel construction choices and high-tech products. In 2005, the acquisition of its own manufacture, the AST Ski Factory, consolidated its independence. Freed from this production subordination, Movement invested in research and expanded its offer of versatile and technical skis which foretold the evolution of skiing. Twenty years after its inception, The Movement Manufacture symbolizes this unique alchemy between a team, an independent research and production process, and creative vivacity.

THE
PRODUCTION
STEPS.
WOODCORE
Wood being the main element of the ski, Movement has always had the desire to develop its own cores from raw material to finished product. This in order to achieve an optimal technicality for each of its skis produced. 100% of our cores are produced in our factory by hand.
BASE
In order to make our bases perform well, we decided to work only with high density sintered P-TEX bases. This step of production allows us to reach an optimal glide on our skis thanks to a high precision cutting.
SILK SCREEN PRINTING
All our topsheets are printed in our own factory to guarantee an incomparable quality. The silk-screen printing process allows us to achieve a bright and vivid color rendition. Our unique Swiss design is a perfect match for this process which combines creativity and quality.
FIBERS
Technical fibers are the very identity of Movement. Thanks to our European supplier, we have been adapting our fibers to each ski practice for over 20 years. From fiberglass to carbon fiber, Movement is constantly developing new technologies to offer the best products on the market.
EDGES
Edges are literally the link between the skis and the snow, so no compromise can be made! All our edges are diamond sharpened on our Montana machines. Light, standardized and reinforced, four different edge profiles are selected according to the ski practice.
PRESS
This major production step highlights all the components of the ski. Thanks to our miracle recipe and optimal control of parameters, our factory manages to offer you a unique ski. This is where each Movement ski finally comes to life.
FINITIONS
In order to offer skis of unequalled quality, this stage of production is crucial. At the exit of the presses, each ski is cut, sanded and structured.
QUALITY CONTROL
At The Movement Manufacture, we pay particular attention to this final step. Each ski is handled by our experts in order to deliver products of the highest quality.

We are very proud to have our own manufacturing and qualified employees. For more than 15 years, all our skis have been 100% handmade. We want to preserve this know-how and develop it for years to come. Our skis are therefore all unique, having passed through the hands of more than 100 people before being born. We can only be proud of the result. Supporting the local economy while bringing superior quality to our products remains our long-term goal.

FLEXIBLE.
We are fortunate to be able to constantly adjust our production to meet estimated demand. We have our own production molds and can replace them very quickly. That's why The Movement Manufacture also produces some pairs of skis for other ski brands. In addition, all stages of ski production are carried out in our manufacture. We do not outsource anything and do everything ourselves, from the raw material to the finished product.

INNOVATIVE.
Thanks to this control of the production chain, the creative and cheeky spirit of the early days has been able to thrive. This freedom is now reflected in the fabrication of ski touring models - «freetouring compatible» - i.e., skis that seek not only to go downhill, but also to move around the mountain independently. The ultimate goal of riding down mountain slopes remains, but we are now free to choose the movement that will take us there.
